hi guys,

Im using playing pinball on my cab in 1280x960 my problem is on a lot of the tables i can not see the score or animation as they are held on the backboard ( header ) is there a way to move it so it shows at the side of the table, i have noticed a few tables that do this but cannot find how. Im using Future Pinball 1.9.1 in GameEx ( of course ) which works perfectly. I no the functions give different views but i use view 2 ( f2 ).

Any help appreciated.

The short answer is no. The DMD positioning is coded into the table script.

The long answer is yes, if you know how to alter the VBS for that table to suit your layout. You would also need to remove the DMD entry in the registry each time you make any sort of change. But be advised it's not as easy as it sounds. I tried doing this when I was trying to set a vertical table to use a horizontal layout instead.

Appreciate the reply Adultery.

Right so your saying, the simple answer is i need to live with it lol!,its not a major cos once you've seen the animation you dont really need it to enjoy the tables, 1 question thou, is future pinball designed to be used in home built pincabs? I mean if i was to build a pincab can i use a 2nd monitor as the header, or would i have to use that hyperspin thing?.

regards. Ian.

Hi,

Future pinball can use two screens native without the use of the hyperpin frontend.

You need to create a shortcut then edit the command to have an" /arcaderender" switch at the end then launch it.

Then when you open the future pinball editor an option to turn on arcade render will be available, and you can then choose to use a second monitor as a backbox.

Both screens will then need to be resizeed by hitting scroll lock.

I have used arcaderender in my mame cab to have a pincab like view from above but found tables looked too small on my 20 inch 4:3 monitor but its a fun experiment anyway.

I do also have a pincab and have had to move the score animation that sits at the side of the screen on some tables (they are all different) but then sits on the playfield when in arcaderender mode.

This is done again in fp editor you need to select the backbox view find the object to be moved (may need to find what layer its on) right click unlock it and then drag off backbox above line.

As each table is different i dont know if you are able to reverse this i have never tried, may have a look.

Please have a google as this is all done from memory so may be a bit inacurate

Thanks for the advise / tips hopefully i can reverse it so the backbox view can be added to the side of the playing field as i dont have 2 monitors on my cab but would be usefull if i do build a pintable. :)
