Hey,

Could have sworn it was working before, but I went to load "Asteroids" for the Atari 2600 and there was no sound. Going in to the options and disabling then re-enabling the sound fixed it.

This was fairly odd, I played around with Stella outside of GameEx, sound worked fine every time.

Took a look at what commands were being sent, everything looked fine.

Then I went to look at available commands:

http://stella.sourceforge.net/docs/index.html#CommandLine

In particular:

-audiofirst <1|0>

Initialize the audio subsystem before video when emulating a ROM. This seems to be required when using ATI video cards in OpenGL mode in Windows. Since it doesn't hurt other systems, the default is 1.

I set audiofirst to 0, and now it works perfectly....here's the kicker, I have an ATI video card...

Any others experience this?

Ahh I use MESS for this so I haven't noticed it. I can also say that this issue has not come up before. Not sure anyone here is using OpenGL though, and that's when it's needed for your ATI card. I assume you're using DirectDraw instead.
