jbsoum Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 Hey guys, so here's an update on the Wiimotes: I can't see a way to automate the process without someone coding a command into dolphin, and so such thing exists....yet. I posted a feature request on dolphin's forums, here's what I said:"My feature request is that I would like a way for the wiimotes to be picked up as the game is started, without having to interact with the wiimote plugin. So, my understanding of the plugin is that you alternate pressing 'Pair Up' and 'Refresh' until your remotes are recognized in the windows bluetooth stack, and then subsequently recognized by the plugin. So, how about this? Leave an option for an 'Automatic Pairing,' where this sequence of entires happens automatically after the game starts playing, perhaps for the first 30 seconds or so while the Wii warning screen displays, and then someone could just press 1 and 2 simultaneously as the game starts, and their remote would be entered into the bluetooth stack and recognized by dolphin."

Stu1983 Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 I have successfully managed to pair my Wiimotes running on Windows 7 x64 with the MicroSoft Bluetooth Stack, I mean totally pair them, even after I reboot my PC all I need to do is press any button to activate the Wiimote before starting Dolphin and it will connect them. All you need is a tool called WiiPair, you can get it here download the Wiimote ADC package, it is part of it.First delete any existing Wiimotes from the Windows bluetooth devices (right click remove)Run WiiPair and press the 'Easy Pair' button, use the red button inside you WiiMote battery cover, it's important to use the red button not 1+2 as it will properly authenticate you PC with the WiiMote by sending the reverse mac address back to your Wiimote. That's all there is to it. Now when you run a game in Dolphin it will auto pair as long as you press any button on the Wiimote before startingThis is something I've attempted to do unsuccessfully for years, I'm so pleased 2
nullPointer Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 That's awesome! Thanks for the share Stu. I imagine this is something that will benefit a lot of Dolphin users.
Stu1983 Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 Yeah I had previously only tried to emulate games I know I could use a joypad with as I couldn't be bothered fighting with the Wiimote pairing, so it's opened up lots more gamesI'm now going to look at potentially using my Wiimote as a mouse for my HTPC, before it was always pointless as you always needed to use your mouse to get the Wiimote paired
