Update question

When we update to a new version of gameex,does it replace history.dat,mameinfo.dat,and so on?it must because i always update mameinfo.dat and history.dat and I just went to update mameinfo.dat,and the file i replaced was from 2008,and i know i had a more recent one.after checking again,im sure it does replace those files.I just had to replace history.dat,mameinfo.dat,nplayers.ini controls.dat,and catver.ini as they were all overwritten yesterday when i updated to 11.59

It may change the one in the GameEx directory, but I don't think it changes yours if you keep it somewhere else.
