I didn't know that was even possible. I've only used chdman once and it was to try and convert a hdd file to a chd many moons ago. Do you have documentation on this? To use it before I just dragged and dropped the file I was trying to convert onto the exe. It was so long ago however that I don't even remeber if it worked or not.

I've only used it when converting to the new chd versions. But am sure I can figure it out if it's possible. Just need to know the correct commands. Here's the list of commands I generated from chdman:

chdman - MAME Compressed Hunks of Data (CHD) manager 0.140 (Oct 21 2010)
usage: chdman -info input.chd
or: chdman -createraw inputhd.raw output.chd [inputoffs [hunksize]]
or: chdman -createhd inputhd.raw output.chd [ident.bin] [inputoffs [cylinders heads sectors [sectorsize [hunksize]]]]
or: chdman -createuncomphd inputhd.raw output.chd [ident.bin] [inputoffs [cylinders heads sectors [sectorsize [hunksize]]]]
or: chdman -createblankhd output.chd cylinders heads sectors [sectorsize [hunksize]]
or: chdman -createcd input.(toc/cue/gdi) output.chd
or: chdman -createav input.avi output.chd [firstframe [numframes]]
or: chdman -copydata input.chd output.chd
or: chdman -extract input.chd output.raw
or: chdman -extractcd input.chd output.(toc/cue) output.bin (if toc, no extension if cue)
or: chdman -extractav input.chd output.avi [firstframe [numframes]]
or: chdman -verify input.chd
or: chdman -verifyfix input.chd
or: chdman -update input.chd output.chd
or: chdman -chomp inout.chd output.chd maxhunk
or: chdman -merge parent.chd diff.chd output.chd
or: chdman -diff parent.chd compare.chd diff.chd
or: chdman -setchs inout.chd cylinders heads sectors
or: chdman -fixavdata inout.chd
or: chdman -addmetabin inout.chd tag [index] sourcefile
or: chdman -addmetatext inout.chd tag [index] sourcefile

It seems the psx driver is still preliminary, and not many games work from start to finish so its really not worth it now, maybe in the future.good thing is that the author of pSX is helping the mess team with their psx driver soon mess will prolly be more accurate then pSX :)

That sucks actually. He *should* be working on pSX instead! ;)

you think? personally im looking forward to the day when i can delete all the standalone emulators and just have MAME & MESS on my gaming rig and not to mention all the ACCURATE emulation!

I thought that pSX was pretty much nearly perfect

It is. I just have one main complaint with it. If a game that doesn't use an analog pad (ie Breath Of Fire) and your gamepad is set up as an analog pad, the controller doesn't work at all. I have to set this up as two seperate emulators for a handful of games. The psx never had this problem so I don't know why the emu does.
