Error

I get this error almost every other time I open GameEx. I re-install it and it runs fine.

Please replace GameEx.exe with the one in this zip. then get it to do the same thing and post the log.

The first time I cut and pasted the new file and clicked "yes" to overwrite. Tried it again but deleted the original file first just to make sure. Still got the same log.

Yes, it will start to launch and then go to that log. It does seem to be doing it less frequently now though. There is that and also every 2nd or 3rd time I try to run configuration it says it is not a valid win32 application. Don't know if they are related. Both are temporarilly resolved by re-installing.

Sound like this is deffinitly not a GameEx issue.

You are experiencing corruption on your hard disk.

There are a few reasons why this could be happening, probably hardware, but here is not the place to ask. Sorry.

Bought a new Maxtor 80gb hard drive...same thing.

I still think it is not a gameex issue, from what you have said.

Could it be your IDE cable, or possibly a virus or something?

Not a virus, I've started clean with my new hard drive. I'll replace the cable and see what happens.

Try turning off the secondary display and see if it still does the same thing.
