Been converting some of my DVD's to the dpg format, so my son can play them on his DS. would also like to be able to play this format thru GameEx. Can't see to get GameEx to play this format. Any suggestions.

Ah yes, DPG. It's for moonshell right? I don't know if the codec exists on PC to play them (never tried looking other then for my DS). Do your movies play outside of GameEx in WMP?

.:EDIT:. I wonder if you can use a DS emulator for this? Not an ideal solution but possible none the less. You would have to emulate Moonshell though... I'll give it a go over the weekend and see.

Thanks Adultery

Played around with it outside of GameEx and no go. Would only make sense since you can find programs to convert from various format in windows that you should be able to play in windows. There are several emulators out that will play avi files without moonshell on your DS. I like the dpg format because of the smaller size.

On a different note did you ever come up with the standard missing snap shots for GameEx

I made one. It's in the user contributions thread.

To be honest, I've been working so hard on the rebuild of my cab I haven't had time for much else. All I got left to do is the ambient lighting behind the monitor and the cpanel so remind me after I post the cab pics. :)

WMP can not play these files natively so therefore can not run in GameEx without the use of an external player. I did read in a forum somewhere that these can be played in WMP using the k-lite codec pack but I have no experience in that. I'm not willing to test it on my end either. LOL. Sorry! There are external players that plays these files but don't have a nice interface to play them. But something to look into if you really need these to be played. Moonshell does have players for Windows included.

Have you tried VLC Player? It seems to play any format media I throw at it. Haven't tried .dgp yet but when I get home I can run a test confirmation for you if you like. I have a few .dgp movies I can test it with. R4I with Wood R4 1.23 on my dsi! Sorry just bragging :)

*cough* CycloDS 2.10 with EZFlash 3-in-1 *cough*

I really think Moonshell is the way to go here. I didn't turn up anything that could play these when I had a look around.

I was unable to play them in VLC during testing. It only played audio.

I concur. You could always do what Adultry said and Moonshell it. Afterall it is the player for the DS.

Hey Celly

Had already tried VLC. Tried running Moonshell thru Desmume and running moonshell by itself. Both cases Moonshell said that the media (The drive itself, I assume is not properly formated) and wouldn't work. I know my chip is formated differently (As a SD format) and that may be a requirement for moonshell.
