No games listed

Hi,

I have been fighting with this program for a few hours now.

I can't seem to get it to detect my games.

I have changed the directory in the configuration file through the easy setup.

I have turned off all filtering options in the ini file.

I have run the upgate games list 239847 times and I just can't figure it out.

When I run mame32 on its own. It picks up the games perfect. It has no problems at all.

FRUSTRATED!!!!!!

Any help would be much appreciated.

Did you run the update games list utility when you entered "gameex"? There is a utilty you have to run when you start gameex for the first time that puts all your games files into the gameex directory structure. I am no expert on this at all, but I just went through that myself, and know that I had to run that utiltiy for it to get the games in the gameex directory listing.

oopps I re-read your post, it looks as if you did..so now I am stumped sorry 'bout that.

I have fixed the problem.

I was using the wrong version of mame. I was using mame32 when i should have been using mame32fx.

Unless i missed it. This was not in the documentation.

But who knows. Everything is giving me the shits today. Just one of those days i guess.
