Hi, I tried to put NumPlayers in menu, remove by Year and change date format to PT-BR "9 de dezembro de 2010" but I could not. Anyone can help?

I could try... But I have no idea what you're asking. ;)

Could you please try again? Start from the beginning and we'll take it from there.

I would like to remove items from the menu as "by year" and put in place "nplayers" would also like to change the description "december 9" for "9 de Dezembro de 2010" Portuguese - Brazil on the mame screen using the theme "default - animated "

Got ya.

You can't change the items in that menu sadly, at least not at this time.

You can change your default language to Portugese through the Advanced Config and that should change what you're after.

Well, I think almost anything can be hacked at hard enough to get it to do something different in GameEx. The question is, is it worth the time and effort to get a potentially half-assed solution.

The text "By Year" can be changed in the text options (it needs to be so that you can localize the language). The data it sorts by is gathered from different files and compiled into the DATA.mdb file in the GameEx directory. So, if you REALLY wanted to, you could change the text from "By Year" to "By Number of Players" and then either edit the DATA.mdb file to replace the data in the year field with number of player data OR you could change the file GameEx uses to determine the date. I think the date is stored in the MAME executable directly, so that means some effort! Be forewarned though...I don't know what other things GameEx uses this data for, so changing it to a number of players from a date could cause some SERIOUS data corruption in the database.

I DO NOT recommend this approach! I'm simply stating a hypothetical solution that could potentially get you the result that you want. A real solution would be to allow the user to enable filtering by number of players natively.

Ok, thanks for the explanation, I changed the language to Brazilian - Portuguese, but even so, the date is like this in the previous image. I believe it's own setup program. I'll be waiting for new versions and new improvements.

Unless this is entered as a feature request in the stickied thread, it won't be added to the program. I'd suggest going there and asking for these features.
