MAME Display names

Hi there

How do you change the display names in MAME. i.e. Double Dragon and Double Dragon (Neo-Geo) both show show up as Double Dragon. How can I change the name to show up as Double Dragon (Neo-Geo)?

Need to change the No Bracketed Text setting in Advanced MAME Settings. Then rebuild your list again.

A MAP file would also give you total freedom as to what you want your roms named. (Doh' but wait a minute, I don't remember how to use Map files with MAME, only emulators.)

I know about the bracketed text option, then I will loose all the freedom of all the bracketed text. Not an option.

Another option is to manually edit the DATA.mdb file. Be aware that every time you update your MAME list, it will need to be manually updated for whatever roms you rename.
