This looks rather interesting

http://www.sonicretro.org/2010/10/sonic-fan-remix-available-for-download/

Haven't had a chance to try it on my cab yet but looks like it should work with a simple ahk script to press the enter key when the launcher appears

That looks schweet! But answer me this, why does fan made look better than Sonic 4 Episode 1 for Wii? Nintendo and Sega need to use this game as a guide.

one reason is it runs on a pc/mac not on a console

games running on a pc/mac will always have better graphics then current gen consoles(as long as the game was designed to use modern graphics cards)

It works on mine, just configure the controls and then run it. Only bad thing is it loads to the selection screen before loading the game and I have to use my mouse to get it going.

Stu said that you need to press the {Enter} key. If that's true, then using 'Send Keys' with the appropriate delay should do the trick.

Here's a quick launcher I've thrown together

Just stick it in the same directory as "Sonic Fan Remix.exe"

It will run "Sonic Fan Remix.exe" wait for the options screen to appear and press the enter key for you

I've included the compiled AHK script and the script itself

It's only one zone, with 3 acts, but man this is a quality fan game. I can't wait for more to be finished on it, I'm really looking forward to the finished product!
