Hi

I have just recently bought GameEx and have installed it with key on a fresh Window XP install, with nothing else on the box. When I try to run gameex it seems to crash when trying to open a database:

Has something not installed correctly here?

Please post your full log.

Also, did you install a full version of XP, or use something like TinyXP on your build? There have been problems in the past with missing components in some of the minimalistic builds of XP (primarily related to database functionality).

Thanks bkeoobi. Looks like thats the case judging by the error.

Repeating myself here but its best to build your own lite version with nlite.

Hmm OK i installed a Windows OEM edition, using a key from a Windows Media Center edition. I don't have the second disk for Media Center Edition, so when the installer asks for it I just hit cancel and it carries on installing what I thought was a normal Windows XP. Seems I was wrong, never mind I'll reinstall with a normal OEM Windows key I have somewhere on an old box, I'll just have to dig it out :):D

Thanks for that guys, love this software...very classy. B)
