I've done a bit of searching on this but not yet found the answer so I thought I would ask.

Is there a way with epsxe of specifying separate controls/controllers on a game by game basis like mame allows you to do?

The reason is I have got PSX pads plugged in through a USB adaptor and that works fine, but I'd prefer to use arcade controls on certain titles where it's possible.

EG fighters like Tekken, I'm sure it would be playable via stick and 6 buttons instead of having to use the psx pad.

Apologies if this is explained somewhere obvious!

You can do that, but not how you are envisioning it.

One option is (Assuming your Arcade Controls use an IPAC or keyboard controller) Configure the emulator to use keystrokes. This way your arcade stick works.

Then use Xpadder or JoytoKey to map the joypad buttons to the same keystrokes the Arcade stick uses.

Then you could pick up both and they would both function.

Brilliant - will investigate, thanks. :)

Am in the middle of building a new pc to install (P4 3ghz because the Saturn Emu won't run on my current cab's athlon) so it might be a bit before I can properly try this out, but it sounds promising.

Thanks for the info.
