stigt
Hi all,I'm trying to emulate the obscure Amstrad GX4000 console through GameEx. I found two emulators, the best is WinApe, the other is MESS, but its emulation is very basic, and a lot of games don't work. When trying to start a game with WinAPe, it only loads the last ROM played, it doesn't seem to accept my commandline. Amstrad emulation of .dsk files is running OK with WinApe, only the cartridges give me problems. My config is this:Enabled=TrueSTARTPAGENAME=Amstrad GX4000TITLETEXT=Amstrad GX4000StartPageLogo=ROMFilter=*.cprRomPath=D:\Emulation\Amstrad GX 4000\WinAPE\CartridgeRomsInFolders=SnapPath=D:\Emulation\Amstrad GX 4000\WinAPE\Artwork\ScreenshotTitlePath=D:\Emulation\Amstrad GX 4000\WinAPE\Artwork\TitleBoxPath=D:\Emulation\Amstrad GX 4000\WinAPE\Artwork\BoxCartPath=D:\Emulation\Amstrad GX 4000\WinAPE\Artwork\MediaManualPath=D:\Emulation\Amstrad GX 4000\WinAPE\ManualsControlPanelPath=InstructionsPath=TVAdPath=MusicPath=WorkingPath=D:\Emulation\Amstrad GX 4000\WinAPEMapKeys=WaitBeforeKeys=SendKeys=ReplaceDash=FalseReplaceUnder=TrueCapitals=FalseRemoveBrackets=TrueShowDesktop=TrueDebug=MAPFile=AlsoLaunch=Command=WinApe.exe "[ROMPath]\[RomFile]"LaunchBefore=D:\Emulation\Xpadder\Profiles\amstradcpc.xpadderprofileLaunchAfter=D:\Emulation\Xpadder\Profiles\blank.xpadderprofileconfigFile=ExcludedFiles=CustomBackground=gx4000.pngPlayMusic=DontShowInfo=PlaySelectionMusic=SelectionMusicFolder=PCGame=DATABASE=[Console] Amstrad GX4000UseDbName=GamesIn7Zips=MergeSets=PlayInScreenSaver=ShowMostPlayed=FalseRandomMostPlayed=Falselastgame=Is there any method to run cartridge games with WinApe?Any help is appreciated.Arjen
Krakerman
Have you tried using the WinAPE Loader? Look here http://www.gameex.in...501I haven't used it myself, but maybe that will work for you

fRequEnCy
According to Tempest the command-line should be:WinApeLoader.exe "[RomFile]"After setting up with the instructions linked from that topic. Not sure how Tempest handles this in code but think that "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]" wouldn't work or else he would have posted it that way. I did use the loader as stated with the above commandline (only ROMFILE), but alas...no luck.
fRequEnCy
Hmmmmm. I guess we'll wait for Tempest to chime in since he's the author of the loader. Perhaps he doesn't have it working for cartridge formats. This is one of those troublesome emulators since it doesn't implement a CLI.
