I searched & found a couple of suggested fixes, but they didn't work.

I'm in the process of moving my GameEx install from the arcade cabinet to my desktop PC. The cab runs WinXP SP3, everything runs fine. My desktop runs Win7 Ultimate x64. I have the latest version of GameEx installed. I have my .gxkey file. I install GameEx, it runs fine. I run the .gxkey, it appears to work. I run GameEx again, I get the nag screen.

I've renamed the .gxkey to .reg. I've run GameEx as Administrator.I've turned UAC off. I have file permissions for C:\Program Files (x86)\GameEx set to Users/Full Control and TrustedInstaller/Full Control. I have the registry key HKLM\Software\GameEx permissions set for Users/Full Control and Administrators/Full Control. I've rebooted. I've uninstalled & reinstalled GameEx, and deleted the registry key & reimported the .gxkey/.reg file.

Do the keys need updating? My key is a few years old. It's the only thing I can think of.

Yes. The key needs updating. Please e-mail Tom and he'll send you out one.

How timely, I just had the same issue. Installing on Win 7 after the HD died and decided to upgrade from my 1.8GHZ machine! Thanks!
