it's not the mapfile it's the emulator itself. Demul just sits there like duh.

i got demul 5.6 to work with gameex, you need to rename the demul.exe to awdemul.exe ( A W for atomiswave i guess )the loader search for the emu as it was named awdemul.exe so as i said simply rename the demul.exe to awdemul.exe the rest of the config is pretty as it is your rompath, working folder etc...

The new version of Demul doesn't require a loader. And which loader are you referring to? This can make things confusing to our users as it's already been posted in this topic.

Hey what are you guys using for controls in Demul? I have a Xarcade but wasn't sure how to set it up? well the jamma portion/Naomi..

Config >>> Game Pad >>> Joy 1 (Depending on which system you wanna setup) >>> Set keys (pretty self-explanatory) ;)

yeah I just did that but it runs many types of games and there is no Arcade controller picture file to see what buttons should be what. I'm not even sure what these arcade cabs look like.

Not sure but this came up using search.

yes I am. the only thing Demul will open for Dreamcast is CHD. Unless I am missing some kind of setup option.

Config > Plugins > GD-ROM Plugin > gdrImage > OK

Now select image again and cdi is supported as well all other image types.

Got a command line for Game Ex by any chance? After I made the last forum post I found the settings for .cdi thanx Frequency. Top notch assistance as always.

Try the following

demul.exe -run=dc -rom="[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]"

The parameters are correct. Don't know if passing the rom to the command is though since don't have images to test with. But should give some idea.

Ok. Just ripped an image so give me a few to test.

Well after testing, I can not get it to load the new image based on the suggested command-line parameters. I don't know if it's by design or if it's an error on my part but only other solution I have is to maybe just mount the images and run that way for that system. Best to post these questions in the emulator's forums. Sorry. Gonna turn it over to you as I don't even use this emulator. :P

A++ for effort. Lack of a readme in the download doesn't help either. I can still run it outside of Game Ex. Unless someone answers my post over at Mameworld it'll stay running outside of Game Ex as far as Dreamcast goes thanx again :)

I'd still try mounting the image with daemon tools or other image mounting software. It seems like the only other logical solution to make it work. I'll test tomorrow but gotta get some sleep first. :D
