I am helping 2 friends build MAME cabs. I am testing all the software on my computer first. I can only boot GameEX once per startup. If I boot it and exit, when i try to boot it again it doesnt work. But if i turn the computer off then boot GamEX it works. Also every few times i boot it I get unhandled exception errors and I need to keep clickin esc just to do anything.

Aside from that what is the best button setup? I was gonna do 2 joysticks with 6 buttons each, an escape button, and the 1p and 2p buttons. Should I add a credits button or is there a way to make games free.

sorry I wasn't specific enough. The error isnt from GamEX itself it is a windows error I get the unhandled exception error: "attempted to divide by zero" and "Could not load type AVGAComObj.AVGAComObjClass from assembly Interop.AVGAComObj, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null because the format is invalid"

Please post your log when it works then.

Sorry, I really have no idea on this. It seems you obviously have issues with your Windows install, windows config, drivers or hardware. I don't think its a gameex issue or bug, its not been reported before either.

My advice, although this is only advise, and if you must use GameEx on this system is to rebuild the os and software on it.

Cant offer anything better I am afraid.

Tom.
