When I lauch any game in mame it runns choppy. Every 1.5 sec it will pause for a split second. I ran mame without the front end and it ran fine. I am running a 2.9ghz pentinum with 1gb of ram so I don't think that is the problem. Any suggestions.

What version of GameEx are you running? Try the latest version.

Does this problem resolve after about 20 seconds. Try tuning off the bypass MAME Warning/Disclaimer settings. See if that helps

Cheers.

I have an radeon 9100 pro igp 3d graphic engine that is integrated onto my motherboard. I tried to reload gameex from scratch and that did not work. I am a newbe so I am not really sure how to run from a window. Thanks for all your help, I really want to get this running right.

Try this.

Go into the configuration. Select Advanced MAME settings. Fin the MAME options setting. Delete -triplebuffer from the field, save and see if that's any better.

To get GameEx in a window, click the Window ICON at the top right. Or select to open windowed under display settings in the configuration app.

Let us know.
