I have a bunch of good system intro videos that shows a bunch of games for each emulator. Is there an option in GameEx to display these videos for each emulator, possibly on the emulator selection screen? I have a logo option, but that is JPG/PNG only.

Hi yes, its not for jpg/png only it should support video files. The help text is out of date (I updated it for the next version). Just put the name of the filename without the extension. Let me know how that goes.

Please Note:

If you enter the Setup Wizard THROUGH GameEx, change your logo videos, then exit Setup Wizard, taking you straight back to GameEx, your Videos WILL NOT WORK. You must RESTART GameEx for changes to take place.

Also, DO NOT name your video after an already existing picture file. This WILL NOT WORK. The setup wizard will ONLY recognize the picture file and not the video file, thus won't play your videos.

I only mention this because it took me half an hour to figure this all out LOL

With having lots of systems to add videos to, I suggest adding all your videos to required theme folder first (IE: C:\GameEx\THEMES\Default - Default\MEDIA\LOGOS), next enter setup wizard and change all your system logos to videos, and lastly RESTART GameEx.

Tip: Name your videos wisely, come up with a naming system that works for you, personally, I name all my videos after the root assets folder for the system IE:Atari_2600.mp4 or Nintendo_NES.avi (Emumovies folder names). This gives ease of use :)

REMEMBER, don't name any of your videos after an existing Picture.

IE: 2600.png and 2600.mp4

If you do, only the picture will be displayed. The video file won't even show up in the setup wizard.

Good tip(s) janX, and Welcome to the GameEx forums. Yes in many cases it is wise to restart GameEx after making configuration changes (or alternately you can exit GameEx, use the standalone Setup Wizard, and then restart GameEx). Thanks again!
