hey tom and everyone just updated to 11.09 and all of a sudden got this error been looking at it all morning looks like a video card error to me or am i wrong?

No not at video card error. This is a database error. This error normally occurs on lite versions of windows where components are missing.

Not really sure what to suggest but it looks like required components of .net or windows are missing or have become corrupted.

Otherwise it could be that the default games database that stores favorites and times played etc has becomme corrupted. You could try installing a new copy of gameex to a differet folder to test that.

I am also having a startup error. The GameEx logo appears and the animation fades out into a pinpoint and completely locks up the whole system. I tried a seperate install in a new dir and problem is unchanged.

Fresh Xp 32 install, 11.09 install. Athlon XP 3000, 1.5gb pc3200 ram, Nvidia 5200 (175.19 driver),Sata 160gb drive. Avast 5 antivirus...

OS is updated with all current patches, NET 3.5 as well.

hey tom thanks for the point in the right direction everythings okay here now! after doing some further research and looking in the registry looks like one of my swell computer spyware sweepers took it upon itself to lock out some of the permissons in the registry for .net framework i was able to change the values in those registry strings and get everything back up and running thanks again for your help!
