It runs things fairly well. I'm not using that much of a beast of a machine. If you have a Wii then I would just stick with that since compatibility is better with the real hardware. It will not play discs but will play images.

Taken from the FAQ of Dolphin:

Dolphin can currently only run "images", also known as ISO or GCM files, of Gamecube and Wii games, since a PC DVD drive cannot read the discs directly.

More to that FAQ but removed some info due to possibly breaking rules. I would go to the website itself for info on that subject.

Real Wii or Gamecube is the best, but if you have a high end PC it will run really good on the games that work.

^ looks like he posted his Chinese history essay instead. Liu Bei thought of ol Chinese secret recipe for fried Dolphin. You must use ISO and they can not be burned, only in ISO format.

Hi !

I've already tried it on my setup.

It's a very amazing emulator , but on the other hand requires a good machine to achieve good speed.

My setup is an Core 2 Duo 2,9 ghz , 2 GB RAM , GeForce 8400GS 512mb.

And I played some games with a good speed.

But the main problem is the LOTS of configuration needed for each game.

And each game has to be configured individually.

So I prefered stay with my Wii console.

It's been awhile since I've tried to add a new emulator to Game Ex Is dolphin automated as far as setup wizard goes? I went and bought a bluetooth USB thingy. Dolphin runs great with latest version on my new game computer. I can even us a actual Wiimote :)

Automated as far as....? No emulator is automated. GameEx will install this emulator with the correct command-line needed to run in GameEx but it as well all emualtors will need to be setup to meet your needs and work with your specific hardware.

In this case the setup will vary from game to game as well. It's alot of extra work.

How odd, i must be the exception yet again as my PC Drive DOES read wii discs as ive just put the original of wii sports in and it works on mine how odd !!

Certain drives are able to. Certain LG ones come to mind last I remember. There's a list out there but best not to link to that kind of info. It is possible just more common not to be able to. You're fortunate enough for this. :P

That answered my question. I guess I should'a been more specific. I have the emulator setup for my machine. What I wanted to know if Game Ex will give it the right commandline :) This emulator will be one to keep your eye on. It doesn't fair to well with recent dumps I.E. Madden 12 but with the games I like so far Mario Kart, Metroid, Mario Bros. It does really well B)
