4th December 2005
- GameEx 6.00 Beta

  • This is GameEx compiled with
Visual Studio 2005. .net framework 2.0.
  • It should be trouble free,
but I don't plan to upgrade the main project yet
so if you want to check it out please do, and
report your experiences on the forum.
  • Performance and memory usage
seem a fair bit better to me, but I've really only
    tested that it works.
  • Please provide feedback on
    this version.
  • It does contain two enhancements
which will be included in the regular build (5.25)
    shortly.
  • The log shows all installed
    .net framework versions.
  • New setting to find
snap/video/artwork for emulators on a nearest
match basis. The setting is enabled by default and
    its under tweaks/performance.

Thanks, Mr. Spiers.

I just came back from the SQL 2005-VS2005 launch party and was glad to read that you are doing this. Way to really be on top of things.

Just to let you folks know, I've removed the download from the site. I've decided to hold off on the .net 2.00 stuff for the moment. I've proved GameEx works and compiles with it (after making a few changes), and that's enough for me for now.

If you already have the Beta installed, please still post your findings, but use the normal upgrade path in the future.

There should be no issues installing the regular version over the top of it.
