I originally had turned on "Remove Text in Brackets", but have since turned it off. However, when I access the game list, it's still showing it without brackets. Is there something I'm missing? Do I need to go somewhere to refresh the list?

Discover the emulator number in setup and delete the generated map file for that system. Then it will generate a new list. e.g. If it is emulator 2 then you need to delete EMU_2.map from the DATA directory of your GameEx install.
