Can anyone tell me if it is possible to use a button or joystick(i am using an X-Arcade Joystick) to press esc instead of using my keyboard to continually return to game ex after playing a game.

Thanks.

Map the X-Arcade to use Esc as one of the buttons. More on programming your X-Arcade in your manual.

Mapping is key. It's very easy. Check your manual.

I personally like using the bottom 2 buttons under the first set of 6 Player 1 buttons.

Mapped one for escape (Esc) and one for credit (3). Did the trick quite nicely as those buttons are never used in gameplay.

Thanks,

Can you tell me if i have to reprogram all the buttons ,say in program mode 2 or just the couple so that one is the ESC key and then all the other buttons will stay the same as they were in the default setup program 1.

Thanks.

You don't need to reprogram the buttons. If you have the two player x-arcade joystick, it is already set up. Just hold the right flipper button and press the player two button.

Yea.

More 1 is default Mame. Not programmable.

Mode 2,3,4 are all default Mame also, but changable. I use Mode 2 and remap esc and 3(credit) to more logical places... Everything else in Mode stays as is for Mame.
