johninc
The quitting might imply running out of memory. I see your at the minimum requirement. How much memory is available to windows before running GameEx?I'll check that. The good news is, I deleted a couple of bad paths (are they new?) and the update made it through, and it's working again. Thanks!
Tom Speirs
What paths are you referring to? Unless the list update is doing less because you for example removed history.dat that shouldnt effect anything. What paths did you remove?
sty151
Hi,The config works for me, so its not that. Couple of things to try. Try using the default - media centre theme. It may be a theme issue such as a foreground masking the display. Try running windowed, just to see if it works. Try newer drivers (I realise you said your using the latest release, but its possible some support files were updated). You are correct Tom it's not GameEx. I ran dxdiag and it showed everything as working. Tried reinstalling DirectX, I tried another AGP video card and it's drivers without luck. I even went as far as a fresh install of Windows and GameEx (because I noticed a Sega emulator doing the same thing that worked on another computer) and still no video. I finally got it to work when I put in an old PCI (not express) video card. So it's got to be something to do with the AGP slot on my motherboard. I either need to change a setting or the slot has gone bad. The odd thing is everything else still works through the AGP slot, just not video using Direct3D. Has anyone else had this happen or heard of this before? I'd like to think it's something I can fix in the bios or a setting I'm missing in hardware management. I know this probably isn't the best place to ask for help for this but I appreciate any help you can give. I'm at my wits end.
R-DUB
KrakermanIf you are running vp9 and are getting a out of memory error, I have read on VP forums that if you start VP, load the table, go to options,un-click HD and save table this should resolve this issue.I have done this and it works, but on my lower res monitor not all tables will look like they should without HD. On my HD monitor they all work no problem with HD on. Hope this helps. On another note. after getting most of my tables set up with no HD setting. I started Game Ex, and the DMD on the pinball tables do not show up unless I hit F3 to restart the table. Then it shows.Does any one know what I am missing? The tables with a DMD score board work outside of Game EX without issue. But when I launch a table in Game EX,no DMD until I hit F3 for restart of table. Weird?
