Getting Bezel to Display

I seem to make everything hard

How in the heck do I get a standard bezel to display in a vertical game like galaga? When the game runs it shows the solid black broder and its hard to tell if your ship has room left to move. A generic MAME type colored bezel would seem to fix that.

Did you enable bezels in GameEx? It comes with a default generic bezel just for this very thing.

Yes, Ive enabled and disabled it. No bezel either way. What folder is the default bezel kept in. I am sure I did something to screw it up

Can be found in the MEDIA\BEZEL & MEDIA\BEZELV2 directories of your GameEx install. To use other bezels then it needs to be set within MAME itself. Either by the mame.ini config file or by command-line.

Was this ever resolved? As i am having the same problem. I only want to use the gameex ones. i have found them in the folders but cant seem to get them to display. I have enabled them in the setup wizard.

It was never a problem for me. You're using the stock GameEx bezel? Or trying to?

Is the command-line not being sent to include the bezels? Is Setup Wizard not saving the setting? Providing both the log and the GameEx.ini file will show us this and help us to troubleshoot. I'll do some testing on my end to see if Setup Wizard is not applying the setting.

Yeah just the stock one. I will have another play and upload the file.

It seems to be saving it in the setup wizard.

Am i just to leave the bezel folder in the media folder, where it originaly placed?
