Hi,

I created a thread on this last week, seems to have disappeared. When setting dpi in win7 to 125 or 150% (can be done by right-clicking desktop -> Screen resolution -> Make text and other items larger or smaller) gameex doesn't display properly. It's either pushed to top-left of screen with corrupt remainder of screen (at 150%) or the splash screen takes up more than the full screen (at 125%). I did manage to get it to display properly at some point, but I can't replicate it and it's become a problem again.

Are other people seeing this issue?

Cheers.

I too noticed the post disappear as I went to reply. It wasnt me!

Im aware of this issue, you can get it to work by using xp compatibility mode.

Thanks for the reply. How do you enable that when running from within win7 media center?

When setting the text size select set custom text size from the left and select windows xp scaling when setting the size.

Sorry mate, but not sure where to do this? Are you talking about settings on the .exe file, or some setting in media center? I'm not at the machine, nor a win7 machine to check it out.

Ah ok thanks. Is this something that will be fixed soon in a new version of GameEx? I'm currently thinking of purchasing the app, and I'd rather have it work without having to set this xp compatibility just to get this 1 app working and I believe the xp dpi scaling isn't as good as the win7 implementation.

I just had a play you can do it just for gameex. Navigate to the gameex folder with My Computer or windows explorer. Right Click on GameEx.exe. Select properties and then the compatibility tab and you will see an option about disabling the DPI.

Awesome thanks. Can you confirm that this sticks when launching gameex from within mce?

Thanks also for the timely support.

edit: hah just saw the 10.75 release and was about to be amazed if you'd implemented a fix.

I cant actually test, but it deffinitly should as its set actually on the executable and not a shortcut.

Im just releasing a new version now that automatically applies the fix. So thanks for bringing it up again.
