snapshots

Hi guys,

I have an issue with creating snaps since a few revisions. I use Visual Pinball with Pinmame and create small movieclips as previews for the tables using Gameex. The clips only show the DMD (pinmame) without the table. A few revisions ago this worked fine as I have a lot of previews for the tables.

Can somebody look into this?

now i m realy pissed off,. i have made several atemps to create snapshots in future pinball, and finaly i used the press esccape button to create snapshots. i thought that will solve the issue, well it doesn t. stop make me waste my time, if it doesn t work, remove it from gameex. and remove "Automatically create all game snaps as images or video" from Registered Version

As an alternate solution, click on my signature, and try ScreenShot (SnapShot?) Magician. If you have any problems, don't get pissed, I'll cry.

Edit: I uploaded some Snaps for future/Visual Pinball at Emumovies (FTP). Backglass images too.

Im sorry your upset. Was it videos you were trying to create or images? I think there may be an issue creating videos in full screen mode.

Ive just tested the feature and it is working for me in the latest version. I dont know why it was not working for you, you must have been unlucky. Were you using the latest version.

do you mean it takes screenshots at the tables, or loading screens?

I meant GameEx. I have not tested with Future Pinball, I meant the feature itself is not completely broken.

Tom - I'm sure you are aware of this, but future pinball opens multiple windows, and takes a bit of time before the table actually shows. If you take the snap too soon, you get a snap of the editor window. Maybe a user adjustable wait time would help?

I think you get a discount if you join Emumovies, and have registered GameEx. EmuMovies is worth the money, I have never heard of anyone being disappoointed...

As I said before, I uploaded alot of Vpinball, and FPinball snaps there.

I understand your upset, but perhaps provide a constructive way for me to improve the feature? Saying its useless helps nobody, and I actually spent some time improving the feature recently.

in the "press escape to create snapshot" it will help if it actualy create it when we press escape not sometime earlyer

Works fine for me here. Ive thoroughly tested the feature today. Maybe the escape key is closing a window in Future Pinball?

Maybe, escape key is for exiting a table, but i dont think i can map a diferent one, there are some keys you can change in future pinball and visual pinball

It looks like the escape key can't be changed for either emulator. Try using the 'Block Keys' in the Advanced config.

by the way, i've made a gameex desktop icon with a better resolution,(exactly the same) your's look bad in window7 , i can send it to you

Yes, please share. It may come in handy. Although the ICON is deliberatly small to reduce the size of the executable image.

Visual Pinball video snaps is broken.

Yeah the latest good video I have is from 27-04-10 so that revision seemed to work (I use Gameex daily with autoupdate).

I only have messed up DMD's now without the actual table.

Any help will be appreciated.
