GameEx_Lite Crashing in Win 7 64

Greetings! I recently upgraded my MediaPC setup. I use to have XP and GameEx_Lite worked perfectly. However, I have been trying to get GameEx_Lite to work in Windows 7 64 with no success. I tried it on two different laptops using Win 7 64 and the program keeps crashing on both. On one of the laptops, I get the following message:

The regular GameEX.exe program works extremely well in my Win 7 64 laptop, but since the Lite version has a smaller footprint and loads faster, I would prefer to use it instead.

By the way, I really enjoy the program and think it's just wonderful for my laptop media PC setup.
