This isn't an error with the latest version as I was previously on an earlier 10.52 or something and got the error as well so I thought I would upgrade to see if it fixed it but it hasn't.

Maybe it's an error introduced in an earlier version because although I haven't been playing lately I've still been keeping GameEx up to date., just not testing it after each upgrade.

It's definitely something with my arcade PC as I've ran the exact same installation on my other PC by mapping my emulation drive and it works perfect on the other system.

My graphics drive is Nvidia 196.21

Any ideas?

Thanks

I installed the latest Nvidia drivers 197.45 there and GameEx worked.

I then lowered the resolution down to 640x480 as that is all my arcade monitor can display and GameEx crashed, I put the resolution back up but it still crashes.

I reinstalled the driver again but it's still crashing.

It looks like the theme your using is missing the please wait animation grahpics or there corrupted. Otherwise its some other graphics issue that is not a bug in GameEx.

I'm getting somewhere, if I keep my arcade desktop resolution to higher than 800x600 and have GameEx set to not change resolution everything works other than the fact I have to run it over vnc as I now can see any picture on my arcade monitor as it's out of range :)

I tried changing theme but all that happens is I get a quick flash of the loading screen before it crashes, why would the exact same setup work on another PC though it if was a dodgy theme?

I also tried recreating this by lowering the resolution on my other PC but it works no problem, so it would seem it's just this 1 PC

Well I got up his morning and tried the arcade again and all is well again :)

I think I know what the problem is though, it only seems to crash when I am connect to the arcade using vnc if I get off my lazy ass and go down and try it, it all works perfect.

It's strange though as I used to always be able to connect to the arcade using vnc and run GameEx to test stuff without any trouble so I don't know if it is something in GameEx that has change or possibly a new version of vnc.
