I just finished building my new media center pc and I am setting up GameEx. However when I launch any game for any emulator after about 5-10 seconds the game stutters for a moment. It does this every 5-10 seconds. When I launch the emulators on their own this doesn't happen, just when I use GameEx. If anyone knows what I should do to fix this please get back to me.

Here are my sytem specs if it makes any difference:

Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit

AMD Athalon II X2 3.10 GHz

4 GB RAM

ATI Radeon HD 5400

Hmmmm. Please post your log so we can see if there's anything helpful in there to troubleshoot.

This line seems like something that may be need to be looked into:

Bothers me that your available memory is in the negatives. I remember seeing something like this before in a log but don't recall the solution. Someone else may jump in if they remember. I'll do a search and see if I can come up with anything. For giggles try using a different theme. Preferably the Default - MCE Glossy V3 theme.

Tried using the theme you suggested, and the memory issue still showed up. I do appreciate your help. I'll check back tomorrow to see if anyone has a solution.

Here's one post with someone having their video memory in the negatives. There's also links off of that thread that may link to something useful. Hope it has some usefulness.

Interesting. I read most threads, but apparently I skimmed past that one. Yeah, this can't be an issue with a single card either since Stu had an Nvidia card and this one is a Radeon.

Just an update. I found and fixed the problem. GameEx was causing an error with an HID-compliant device. So I disabled it in Device Manager and it is all fixed. I have no idea what the device was, because all of my USB devices work. That doesn't matter, because I have GameEx working again; and I can finish setting up my HTPC.
