Hi all i'm new here.

I was testing MameEx but i have a problem for having games in fullscreen.

All the game have the same resolution.

I'am running MameEx in a cab with an ati X600 pro and soft 15khz ( the arcade monitor was replaced by a tv)

All working well but bad resolutions ...

I was in 640x288 in windows an use mameex lowres theme

I don't know what i have missed ...

I think if you a few more details and we can figure out what's wrong. In my experience, Mame and Mess should have no Fullscreen problems what-so-ever, so the problem is probably either the OS or GameEx.

You're not running a dual monitor setup are you?

What's you OS's resolution set at?

Is gameex changing the resolution in the advanced config? If so, what's THAT set to?

What's the recomended resolution for the theme you're using? (I doubt this matters, but you never know)

If you post some of that info, I'm sure somebody can come up with an explanation.

hi thanks for help

my video card ati X600pro with soft15Khz

A tv as monitor

A jpac for commands and tv 31khz protection

I'm not using dual monitor setup

i'm running winxp at 640x288

gameex is not changing the resolution in the advanced config

I'm using the arcade vga lowres theme 640x288

All working well except this problem:

all the games as the same bad resolution and two black band ( left right ) like a vertical game on an horizontal monitor and as bad horizontal size they look like compressed in the middle off the screen ( think bad resolution but why ?)

Another things

When i click tab on keyboard during game there was a menu where you can change video mode (4/3 12/7 and coktail) but it doesn't solve my problem all my games are not in good resolutions compressed in the middle...

It seams that mame doesn't switch resolutions.

Any Trick?

Anyone help?

Hi i think i have found the problem ( advancemame parameters ) i finally add this -video ddraw -nohwstretch -switchres and my games seems to have good resolutions but when i start for exemple Rolling Thunder it has bad resolution ( like 31Khz on 15Khz monitor ).

I think i have to play with resolution and reffresh rate with a custom configuration of soft15Khz...
