in the 'cabinets running gameex' thread on this forum (middle of the 11th page), silver X states

"The entire interface is controlled via a Playstation 2 controller. Holding the left analog stick and pressing certain buttons will do things like Alt+F4, Alt+Tab, etc. The right analog stick allows control of the mouse cursor while the D-pad navigates GameEx's menus or other things. I pulled all this off with JoyToKey, which has separate configs for things like the PC games (It can run games up to about 2005 great), GameEx itself, PowerDVD, NexusFile V, etc. "

now i've been futzing with joy2key all morning, and i can't for the life of me figure out how he changes the configuration for certain buttons by holding down the left analog stuck. i'd love to be able to recreate this feature, but have no idea where to start. joy2key has a really nice feature where you can assign a button to load another configuration file, but as far as i can tell there is no way to tell it to only do so for as long as the button is held down, let alone to bring everything back to normal once the left analog stick is released.

also, is anyone familiar with how to load custom joy2key configuration files through a command line?

i've messaged silver x, but he's only posted on this forum a few times, and i don't expect a response.

edit: ok, i think i've figured it out. it's less an issue of using a button press to initiate another joy2key config, and more about using a button press to reconfigure the buttons based on another joystick's configuration. it's a bit complicated to think about, but i think i've figured it out.

any idea how to initiate joy2key configs based on whether or not you're in teh main gameex menu or an emulator itself? i'm sure i could use a 'taskkill' command in the 'launch before' section.

speaking of which, is it possible to put more than one program or command into the 'launch before' or 'launch after' sections in setup?

using debugging mode i've pretty much concluded that gameex basically loads a batch file based upon what you input into 'setup'

if so, is it possible to separate the different 'launch before' options with a ";" or something?
