Galaxian Theme by Headkaze

Hi tom, Headkaze,

I am running GameEx 5.19 very satisfactory, but because of the Galaxian teme I did an upgrade to 5.21 a few days ago. However, this gave several problems (intro movie only sound but no picture, desktop showing after hitting a key, key repeating problem, etc.), so I went back to 5.19.

My question is if it is possible to post the Galaxian theme as a separate download in the theme section of the forum, so I can use it in the 5.19 version of GameEx?

I'd rather fix your problems as its likely others will have a similar problem. Could you please try 5.23, and report any remaining issues? 5.21 was a little buggy. What type of file is your into movie?

Hi Tom,

I did an upgrade to 5.23 but now I have other problems:

- when I quit GameEx, I have a black desktop. The picture of my beautiful wife is gone. Luckily I could fix this in a second.

- My mame gamelist is suddenly empty

- My most played game is empty

- I tried to play my favorite A2600 game (demon attack with Stella). It worked, but when I quit the came, GameEx did not return (I had to kill the Stella proces)

I did not try other things, but I will go back to GameEx 5.19 once again. I have to live without the Galaxian theme. No wait, I will copy the theme before I remove 5.23.

By the way, my intro movie did play good now.

hmm very strange, i am aware of the desktop issue (which will be fixed Today), but nothing has changed that would affect the other items. Assuming your installing in the same path and your config has not changed, I suspect when you downgrade to 5.19 your'll still have those issues. Of course you can just copy the theme that will work. I think the issues you mention are with your config not witht he upgrade.
