I just wanted to spread the word to any FTP subscribers or members that haven't visited EmuMovies the last few days that there has been a significant change to the FTP system and your old login will not work.

The short story is: If you are already a member of the EmuMovies forums that I opened last november then your new FTP login information will be in your messenger over there. If you are not a member of our forums but an FTP subscriber I will need you to register for the forums and then send me a PM requesting ftp access. I can then upgrade your site and FTP access appropriately.

The long story is: When we moved to our new server three months ago we immediately started having problems. The site would go down every week due to CPU overloads, I worked with the host to try and figure it out but right when he told me he was going to move me to a new server the whole thing crashed. Come to find out it was a faulty raid controller and some files were corrupted. We were able to save the databases and the site but cpanel was gone. It took us a week to get back up but I took the opportunity to make another upgrade. We have now gone from 250GB of capacity to 1.5TB of capacity. Doubled the ram on the server and upgraded to an core i7 platform. In addition we have employed a enterprise level backup solution that will take daily images of the server remotely. I also took the opportunity to finish the conversion to the new website.

So mostly good came out of our little disaster, however the FTP database was gone. However with a little help I was able to figure out a way to tie the ftp to the member classes of the forum. Supporting members and up already have full access to the Site and the forum manages subscriptions and class changes automatically. I was able to set up 300 registered users with FTP access in about 5 min. This normally would have taken a week or more. So now that the two systems are married you will need to register for the forum to regain access but it's worth it.

It would be cool if you could make a new GameEx video with the latest version. There seems to be some video issues with the current one. Im thinking your using some hacked drivers? Also the toolbar issue when the mouse is over while using the keyboard is fixed, along with the artwork now continuing to display when navigating.

Not the end of the world though, and thanks for everything you do.

I spent quite a bit of time creating one.

Hopefully you agree its better? If so Id really appreciate it if you could use it instead of the one you have.

Thanks Circo, I have more than one talent hopefully ;). Yeah its designed to be re-encoded, hence the size. As its edited there is no audio in it though. I was thinking when you reencode it for the site (unless you use the YouTube version) unless you have something better maybe use Arcade Ambience as the audio track?
