NEWS: GameEx 10.38 Released

New multi-user feature for GameEx. Setup up to 10 users who can have their own theme, game list and favourites. Each user has their own username, avatar and password (optional). Setup accounts for the whole family and restrict game lists for children. All user administration such as adding, deleting and editing users is done using an admin password. You can shutdown the computer directly from the login screen. You can also use <A HREF="http://www.gameex.net/Community/InstantSheller/tabid/73/Default.aspx">Instant Sheller</A> to launch Login.exe at startup for a complete multi-user arcade gaming front end.<BR><BR><img src="http://www.gameex.com/images/login.png"><BR><BR>Once you login under a user you can either configure the user in GameEx with the Advanced Configuration application or exit and run the Setup Wizard. You must login under the user before you can configure them.

I heard them laughing and I came downstairs to find my 8 yr old boys playing Custer's Revenge on the cab last weekend...

Looks like it's time to really filter what my kids are playing (thank God they didn't find Leisure Suit Larry!) and still be able to keep the adult games for a more grown-up party.

I thought there was quite a bit of interest when I released it as an external app, I did spice up the graphics a bit for the official release though. It was in beta infact the first few releases were actually broken because I forgot to copy important files to the user directories so it didn't really work properly for a while there! Also I think when something is put in the official release people have more faith that it's in working order. But yeah I don't really see any more interest than the original release.. or perhaps people do like Tom more than me? In that case I think I'll go have a cry in the virtual corner over there
