Nutshell: Games that are 'working' in mame32v0.103 not showing up in gameex

Settings

Only working games = yes

allow imperfect = yes

verify roms = yes

only existing roms = yes

I am missing about 200 working roms.

If I set working games = no, then the missing roms show up BUT so do other games that I don't even have.

Is there a way to manually set the mame game list in gameex based on the 'available' working games in Mame32?

Thanks,

A

You can add the working games to the "exclude from filter" list, but that could be tedious. Perhaps MAME is reporting the ones that work as not working even when they load? If you have an example rom, you could let us know. That way, someone can check the details on MAWS to see what MAME reports it as.

He's using mame 103. Would Maws have info on that? I don't want to say that the version is too old for GameEx, because I could be wrong. BK?

I think the version is fine, the problem probably is in the region of the game, eg.. asia, japan, clone, bootleg etc... Aside from working and imperfect these are also used to filter games.

Version 0.103 should work fine if I remember correctly. I believe I was running 0.107 recently (gun games) and I don't think anything changed between the 2. MAWS shows info all the way back to the beginning when any rom was first added, so it should say when it was fixed if it's been updated. But yes, it's not going to be listed at the top if it's changed between 0.103 and current.
