key config for emulators on pc

Hello to anyone reading this. Im having trouble with the super nes and gameboy advance emulators on pc, i am not a programmer and not very technical, i cannot figure out how to configure or change the keys to my preference, especially the snes where my controller doesnt seem to work at all, anyone know how to bring up a menu or something simelar to pressing "tab" key in mame games?? ... however ive had no trouble with any of the mame config. many thanks to anyone who can help. CHEERS!!

Which emulators are they for these systems? As there are many of them out there and configuring them are different for each one. Please give us more detail.

very sorry, i have no idea ... will look into it further. it is already integrated into the gamex on my computer, and comes under "emulated games" in my menu so have no idea how to find out exactly which snes GBA emulators they are. when i have more info i will post a reply. many thanks for your time.
