Hi all,

No laughing :) as im still new to emulation...

I have Good Merge and have been happily merging sets and all has gone well.

But i have a few questions before i proceed.

Can i merge sets that are not GOOD TOOLS named?

Can Rom Center build merge sets

Can clrmamepro build merge sets

if they can would my roms need to named with good tools.

The reason i'm asking is i would like to merge my neogeo set next and cant find a GOOD TOOL for it as it looks like they dont deal with arcade roms, as i've only been using GOOD MERGE on my Nintendo sets i have had no problems up until now.

OK Laugh if you must i just don't want to mess all me roms up as they are looking very pretty since i installed GameEX. :D

I believe that if you have the proper DAT file, you can convert a No-Intro set to a Good Set. You will obviously only have one game for each title rather than one for each region in a standard Good Set.

Hi bkenobi,

Thanks for the reply.

After spending 3 days on the Nointro, clrmamepro and Rom Center web sites i now have a basic understanding of most of the ways to merge sets and the differences between nointro and good tools.

Yeah, I tried to figure a lot of that stuff out a while back. I had a decent grasp on what was what and was able to convert sets at will. In the end, I decided it was easier to obtain sets in the format I preferred to use rather than converting things around.

Glad you got it figured out!
