Hello =) I've recently been trying out gameex and, after fiddling around with it all weekend, I'm completely in love with it. It appeals to my ocd senses perfectly and I love seeing all my entire pc and video game collection lined up so nice and uniformly from one nice launcher... I just have a few questions which I can't seem to figure out by using the configuration or faq.

1) For the "game information" page when you select a game, how can I enter my own custom descriptions for games that don't have any, and override the ones that do?

2) Can I add categories or 'tags' to my games? (eg - when chosing to sort games and you can choose by year, manufacturor, and "by category" which lists genres and number of players; I would like to be able to add other kinds of 'tags' to games, such as Sci-Fi, Fantasy, 2D, 3D, etc.)

3) If #2 is possible this will likely be made obsolete.... but, assuming that I'm only using an "All Games" list from my main GameEX page, is there a way to add a "By System" or "By Emulator" search type in addition to By Category/Year/Manufacturor?

Thank you for your time~

1) This data is stored in the data.mdb file for MAME games. For other games, you can edit the system specific database file that you point to. You will need to reboot GameEx to see the changes take effect. Be aware that if you update your MAME list, you will lose all changes that you made to your MAME info. The only way around this is to update the input files (history.txt etc) rather than the compiled file (data.mdb).

2) You can edit this info for non-MAME stuff in the database file. For MAME, you can edit your catver.ini file. I created a script that helps rename the categories as you wish. If interested, you can search for my post or ask and I'll find it. You cannot add more filter criteria, but you can change the data that's available to sort on.

3) I don't think you can sort by system in the 'All Games' list AFAIK.

Hope that helps!
