Mame Keeps Closing

I've read around this site as much as possible to get asolution to this problem. When I launch certain MAME games they appear to load for a second before the screen returns to Gameex.

I've read of instances where similar things have happened for others but their solutions didn't work for me.

I'm really quite impressed by the Gameex software, but this is a pain as it happens to some of my favourite games.

Any suggestions?

Typical, I've spent half the day on this and as soon as I post, I solve the problem.

I installed Advance Mame, which alone didn't work, but when I enabled Zinc, all was good.

FYI, since AdvanceMAME is so old, it might be a good idea to consider using standard MAME. Well, that is unless you don't need any of the new features or don't have an interest in the newer releases. Just my opinion though.

I was using the latest standard MAME, and that was when I was having trouble. It was a significant amount of games that wouldn't open in Gamex too, although I could open them in MAME on it's own.

At the moment all is working as I would like.
