Hallo all, I wish to know how I have to do if I want to have Gameex listed in MCE2005 menu. If I click on mygamex it runs but from windows not from MCE. In MCe I've always only DVD, VIDEO, IMAGES, MUSIC, etc.

Please help

Thanks

It should be under 'More Programs' on English systems.

It sounds like your not English so maybe your not using English MCE.

In which case you need to move the GameEx shortcut to where Media Center looks for More Programs on the Start Menu > Programs. Sorry I only know where that is on English systems.

Perhaps someone else can help, if you tell them what country version youre using.

Start Menu > Programs > Accessories > Media Center > Media Center Programs

Fi you let me know what it is on Italian MCE, I'll add it to the install for others.

Hi, the equivalent in Italian Version on MCE2005 is:

start>tutti i programmi>accessori

even if I put in this folder the gameex's folder I do not have it in my MCE application under "other programs" (altri programmi in Italian)

Please can you help me?

Thanks

Sorry, I can't. I have requested numerous times on the GameEx home page, that Italian and other users help me solve such problems, but I have had no responses.

Perhaps you should try asking the questions at some Italian MCE forums?

If you find the answers please share so I can help others in the future.

Hi, I have exactly the same problem but with the UK version of MCE 2005.

the shortcut is already in

Start Menu > Programs > Accessories > Media Center > Media Center Programs

but does not appear in my media center menu. whilst searching about shortcuts on MCE I read that they dont work in that folder in MCE 2005, only on 2004.

this link here http://blogs.msdn.com/mcreasy/archive/2005/02/17/375600.aspx goes on about it , but I have no clue at all what it is talking about

Hi, well looks like I was just being a dumb MCE newbie. I assumed it would go on the list when you highlight 'more programs', I didn't think to click on it

Perhaps Diverdeep is making the same mistake?

Well, I did wonder if that was the problem, but did not say in case I insulted you. That's why it's always a good idea to say if your a newbie, or expert for that matter smile.gif
