I would like to use VLC to play DVD isos. I have setup VLC as the external player but can't find the varible to for the ISO file name.

VLC can play DVD isos directly without having to be mounted, so is it possible to pass the file name to the command line?

C:\Program Files (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe [FILENAME] --fullscreen

Yes. Playing ISO images through VLC is possible using the command line. I've verified this. As far as making it work in GameEx then give this a try:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" "[DVD]" --fullscreen

Found in the help section of External Player CMD:

CMD Is the full command line including drive, path and file that will be used to launch the external DVD Player. Use [DVD] in the cmd to pass the filename of the video..
