Make Favourites the default and only list?

Hi,

Is it possible in GameEx to have it default to my Favourites list, and then to only allow scrolling through my Favourites list? i.e. all the other emulator and MAME menus would not be available? I want to use my favourites list rather than just MAME as I have added games from other systems (Daphne, ZSnes and Fusion) into it, but now I want to lock my cabinet sown to just my favourites list.

I believe you could do this using custom menus. Custom menus is a program that is run outside GameEx, you should be able to access it from the start menu in your GameEx folder. Anyways, just form a new menu and only add the favorites list. Make sure to check "enable custom menus" and then launch GameEx. Now all you should see is the option for favorites.

Some of this might be a little off as I don't have access to my cabinet right now but you should be able to work from what's there. Good luck!

One way would be to combine your emulators into a group and set that group so that it's the only emulator on the system. You would need to filter your lists such that only the games you want are visible (or only the roms you want are accessible by the emulator/GameEx).
