[RESOLVED] playing dvd's with inbuilt player

well i had to rereg somehow my forum reg went all screwy

well ive searched and searched and i cannot find anything about having more control over the inbult player settings ie DVD's or (i like power dvd yet cannot find any info on the net ANYWHERE for command line params.

I dont think or at least I doubt there are any command line settings for PowerDVD. Never tried, but for WinDVD you can simply give it a path to a folder or drive name. So if you would want it to work with dvds on disk you would just specify the path to the exe and then [DVD]. I dont know if its the same for PowerDVD. e.g:

"c:\program file\powerdvd\pdvd.exe" [DVD]

The inbuilt player is basic, however it is designed to work very well with limited arcade controls and lower resolutions. The controls available are on the main site.

the fastest man at a keyboard lol umm ok any plans to give it a more advanced feel? possibly some extra buttons i guess my main thing is im still setting up the HTPC and skipping through dvd's function seems somewhat shakey and doesnt skip very far a fast forward button and stop button would be extra cool maybe even a extra editor someplace to add your own buttons to the top of the theme?

or am i way off track and this is allready possible?

also just wondering would it be possible when using the custom menus feature to have it open the one you currently have setup? i made the mistake of not doing that first lol

well LOL this made me kick myself cause if i set powerdvd to allways on top and full screen this works flawlessly sigh

"C:\Program Files\CyberLink\PowerDVD\PowerDVD.exe" [J:\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.IFO]

i forgot to add with anydvd and the automount of iso images by gameex that above works perfectly
