how do i update without internet access on cab

Hi, my cab doesnt have internet access so I download the updates for gameex with my laptop, what files do I transfer to my cab to apply the update thanks

For an update just the main setup file, and uncheck the checkboxes that download things when you install. If you want these seperate downloads there on the download page.

EDIT: Just to clarify you download gameexsetup.exe and run it on your cab. The auto update only does exactly this.

Seriously, its a good point. If you spend any time at all updating a cab you really want it networked. UltraVNC works great for me with GameEx.

Ya, Ill chime in and thrid that. I have a usb wirless G and use TightVNC to administrate my cab, from my laptop, while I sit in bed and watch TV.

I use Windows Remote Desktop Connection or logmein.com

I use the wireless for administration. If I need to update roms or anything large, I open the back of the cab and plug in the gigabit connection for better throughput.

Yeah I have my cab with a wireless card in it, it's ok since most update files are small and it doesn't take long to transfer over the network. When I build my next cab, I'm going to put a cat6 connection on it so I can connect it wired if need be.

Windows has built-in Remote Desktop capabilities. I used a patch to allow concurrent loggins so I can have different accounts logged in at once. Hopefully this will be available by default in Win7.
