Hey guys. I have a mame machine with SSF working but am wondering what i should do in terms of setting the input controls. My machines control panel is a SlikStik with the default mame button assignments which use ctrl alt shift. well these buttons will not work in SSF and am wondering if theres a workaround thats not, well, too much work. I had USB Saturn controllers connected which i coul just pull out from behind the coin door, but that ruins the feel of the machine. Thanks guys and ill have more questions coming as i am tryin to work the final kinks out.

Get a gamepad for console emulators IMO.

A gamepad is not an option with my machine. i have snes, nes, genesis, master system, 32x, sega cd and nintendo 64 all running fine. SSF is the only emulator thats not letting me use the ctrl alt and shift keys. if i cant get SSF mapped to my slikstik, im just not going to keep it on the machine.

Gameex had built in key remapping, or you can use autohotkey.

This way you can map CTRL to T or something.

I use Yabause for Sega Saturn. You can change the button mapping in the emulator. Works fine for me.

Thanks so much Hoff. GameEx does indeed have a built-in keyboard remapper. Its called advanced emulator config. now i have mapped the trouble keys to regular keys and everything is working flawlessly. GameEx is full of surprises. Thanks again.

Last I checked, the built-in remapping software can't handle game controllers with more than 16 buttons. Has that changed? The GP-Wiz line of encoders has 32 or 40 depending on when you bought it. As a result, it's rather difficult to use the GameEx remapping.
