Which video formats can GameEx play, when using video previews (instead of snaps)?

I have a collection of the "emumovies" for some systems, which are in avi format and these work well. I also have videos for other systems that are in wmv format and these do not play within GameEx.

Can someone recommend a program to batch convert them to avi?

I have used Mediacoder in the past. Its a free (open source) media transcoder that can convert anything to anything as long as you have the codecs.

search google or sourceforge...
