Hey guys i could use a launcher for pcsx2-beta-1474r . This version of the emu runs all of my games perfect and at full speed on my rig so this might be the last launcher i need for this :) Anyhow Brian Hoffman normaly makes a launcher for pcsx2 around here and i could use brians or anyone elses help on here if they think they could whip one up.

Thanks

Your too kind, Actually I am only one of a handful of people here that write scripts to automate actions. I have not checked this version out, Iam not sure I even have one of my backups and Bios available to try and whip one up.

I may have time on Monday to take a look at it as I have it off (laborday)Unless someone here were to beat me to it, my feelings wouldn't be hurt.

Too bad there is not a way to make it so all we need to do is change the pcsx2 exe name to lets just say pcsx1.exe and that it would work with the same launcher??? This way we wouldnt need a new launcher every time a new version comes out... I tryed using your 9.6 launcher and renamed my beta pcsx to the same as the 9.6 exe but then it said cant load cdvd plugin so i renamed it and had no problem cept... It loaded the emu up but never launched the game it just sat there :(

Yea, sometimes it is that easy though. It just depends how many things change from build to build.

Bump!

You didn't have to bump it, I didn't forget. I know your anxious. Without further delay.

This was super easy! Goto www.pcsx2.net > beta downloads, Download full installer of pcsx2-r1736, Install it, configure your BIOS, Use the standard cdvd plugin.

In gameex

ROMTYPE= ISO or whatever

Command= pcsx2-r1736.exe "[rompath]\[romfile]"

Yep thats right, the newest version supports ISO loading via the command prompt, also there is a options to allow ESC to fully close the emulator.

It works pretty good.

Hmmmm anyone else having any kinds of problems with gameex and this beta launching certain games??? Some games wont launch and cause pcsx2 to crash when i try to launch them through gameex but outside of game ex they work fine??? Using gameex 10.19, going to update to the latest version to see if that helps...

Does PCSX2 nativley support these formats? *.nrg;*.Z2

Ive never heard of *.Z2 , of course Im not suprised, there are so many diffrent image formats out there.

If I were you Id mount them in DTOOLS and then re-create the ISO in a more common format.

.Z2 is pcsx2's cdvd plugins iso compression. You can use the plugin to compress about any iso you have. it will make a 4 gb iso into a 500mb iso. It works great and you bet it works great in pcsx2.... I have no problems running the .Z2's or my Nero ".nrg" isos when i just run them through the emulator but when i try to run them through game ex is when i have trouble... .iso games as well sometime wont work...

Got it working now! :) Problem was it was not launching from the cdvd plugin but i found a command line that forces it too. -usecd does just that!
