Am I being stupid? I can see the update list option in mame but how do I update rom the list in an emulator?

I changed the rom path in the advanced configuration of one of my emulators but it still shows the old list in gameex. How do I force a rescan?

Not sure exactly what file but you can erase the .map, .dbcache, & .dbcacheini files pertaining to the emulator you need to update and GameEx will rescan your directory. These files can be found in the DATA directory of your GameEx install directory.

I couldn't see a .map file in the data folder, I deleted the .dbcache and .dbcacheini file but this didn't force a rescan.

In the end I had to delete the emulator in the advanced config and re-add it again to get the files to rescan. This can't be normal surely? Why can't there just be a rescan button?
